Evan Mather
Evan Mather is an American filmmaker, known for his short films spanning multiple genres including animation, comedy, documentary, mockumentary, music video, and film title design. ''Sight & Sound'' referring to his work in this genre of web film said that:

The most successful web-stream films, of course, are made with the format in mind. American film-maker Evan Mather's work, such as Icarus of Pittsburgh (2002), is a good example: densely packed with visual and aural information, his films seem made to be watched intently, in isolation and cocooned by headphones.

In 1995 he started the online video site (''Hand Crafted Films'' ) as a forum to experiment with the self distribution of short films via the Internet. He is best known for his short films starring Star Wars action figures (1997-1999). These include ''Quentin Tarantino's Star Wars'', ''Godzilla Versus Disco Lando'', ''Kung Fu Kenobi's Big Adventure'', and ''Les Pantless Menace''. For musician Aimee Mann he has completed two animated music videos: ''Red Vines'' (2001) and ''Pavlov's Bell'' (2003). His 2002 short film ''Icarus of Pittsburgh'' about a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan played at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. In 2005 he completed the animated title sequence for ''My Big Fat Independent Movie'' and in 2006 his autobiographical mockumentary ''Scenic Highway''. His documentary short about sustainability, ''So What?'' (2007), won the 2008 Communications Award of Honor from the American Society of Landscape Architects. In March 2010, his documentary short film ''A Necessary Ruin: The Story of Buckminster Fuller and the Union Tank Car Dome'' (2009) premiered at the National Building Museum.
